With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John A. Russo Jr. of Old Lyme, Connecticut, who passed away on February 8, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Russo (Janssen); his parents, John A. Russo, Sr. and Alva Russo (Hodges); his son Todd Russo; and his brother Joel Russo (Becky).
He is survived by: his children, John A. Russo III, Vincent Russo, Melanie Scelza (Frank), Stefanie Russo, Scott Russo and Michele Nanci; his grandchildren, Stephen Grondin, Amanda, Stefanie Russo, Nicole, Justin LaVette, Samantha, Jonathan Russo, Frankie, Elleni Scelza, Micaela Scelza, Kar Landers, Marina and Gianna Nanci; and his great grandchildren, Trevor, Amelia, Natalia, Carter and Cassidy. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newington Memorial (20 Bonair Ave, Newington, CT 06111). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
