With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Chouinard of Oakville, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on January 4, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Chouinard and Beatrice Chouinard (Gouldreault); his brothers, Leo Chouinard and Raymond Chouinard; and his grandson Harrison Robert Dayton.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Chouinard (Pratt); his children, Kevin P. Chouinard (Lynne Flanagan) of Dover Plains, NY and Cynthia Dayton (Richard Dayton Jr.) of Oakville, CT.; and his grandson Rafael Dayton.

To honor George's memory, donations to Boy Scouts, Troop 52, mailed to, Union Congregational Church at 167 Buckingham St Oakville, Ct 06779, Attn: BSA Troop 52. Donations can also be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 505 S Main St, Thomaston CT 06787.

“I am. Late seeing this, but am always sad to see notices of friends that pass. I lived in Waterbury, and worked in a Plating Shop called “Harper Leader” with George for 2 years. It was my first job as a Plater, and George broke me in on all the jobs there. I have great memories of him. I lived on Mill Street .”
