With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arthur William Atwood Sr. (Oakville, Connecticut), born in Woodbury, Connecticut, who passed away on April 28, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Atwood and Frances Atwood (Benjamin); his children, George, Paul Atwood and Theresa Cook; his daughter-in-law JoAnn Atwood; and his sister Betty Jurzyk.
He is survived by: his children, Arthur W. Atwood Jr. (Toni) of Oakville, Steven Atwood of Oakville and Karen Atwood of Waterbury; and his stepdaughter Dawn Meoni of Waterbury. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, graveside services with military honors in Evergreen Cemetery are private.
