He was predeceased by: his father Donald Rife; and his wife Rita (Rodko). He is survived by: his children, Richard W. Rife Jr. (Faye), Michele Rife (Amy Monastero) and Lori Soderlund (James Emming). He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
