It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Penny Lynn Schalla (Oakdale, Connecticut), born in New London, Connecticut, who passed away on March 23, 2018, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James T. Schalla Sr. and Elaine C. Swanson (Johnson). She is survived by: her brother James T. Schalla Jr.; her wife Cynthia of Mount Pleasant, S. C.; her siblings, Donna L. Schalla (Marc) of Spain and Douglas A. Schalla (Angela) of Groton; her stepparents, Edwin G. Swanson III of Mystic and Irene H. Schalla (Klewen) of Mystic; and her stepsiblings, Kerry P. Swanson of Mystic and Lorelei I. Bray (Swanson). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
