It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Sylvia of Oakdale, Connecticut, born in New London, Connecticut, who passed away on June 1, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Judith Sylvia (Bartkiewicz) and Frank Sylvia; his brother John; and his pet Pal. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his son Joseph; his sisters, Jean Tillinghast (John) of Quaker Hill and June Cummings of Lyme; his brother-in-law Joseph Podvarney (Kerri) of New Jersey; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Amy, Melissa, Gabriel and Zachary of New Jersey; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sean, Alex, Brady, Krysti, Anastasia and Abigail. He is also survived by Numerous cousins, uncles, aunts and other extended family and friends.
