He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Leonard Surprenant and Marie Aurise Surprenant; and his siblings, Claudette Horst, Terrance Surprenant, John Surprenant and Janice Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Surprenant; his daughter Julia Tucker Wood (Matthew Wood) of Higganum, CT; and his grandchildren, Erin Tucker of Wesley Chapel, FL and Olivia Tucker of Higganum, CT.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Cathedral (213 Broadway, Norwich, CT 06360).
