He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard A. York and Evline Veal (Turner); his stepmother Gertrude York; his siblings, WJ York and Barbara Cejka (Ann); his son David York, Jr.; his stepson Alan Moquin; and his son-in-law Scott Poole.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce V. York of Canterbury; his son Alan M. York of Simsbury, CT; his siblings, Daniel York, Sr. and Susan Nancy McNamara of Tennessee; his stepchildren, Janis Poole (Moquin) of Canterbury and Terry Moquin of Norwich; his daughter-in-law Virginia Moquin of Versailles; his grandchildren, Crystal Poole, Anthony Machabee of Norwich, Michael Poole, Maria Mlynarska of Norwich and Joseph A. Moquin of Versailles; and his great grandchildren, Ryker and Lennox Machabee of Norwich.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Godere - Guillot Funeral Home, Inc. (21 N 2nd Ave, Taftville, CT 06380). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
