She was predeceased by: her parents, William M. Thiel and Docina Glaude Thiel; and her husband Robert B. "Bob" Schmidt, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Cindy S. Crocicchia (Dana Caviggia) of Montville, Michael R. Schmidt of Washington, D. C., Brian W. Schmidt (Wendy Dart) of Norwich and Peter J. Schmidt (Sheri Elton Schmidt) of Norwich; her grandchildren, Amber Moore (Greg), Zachary Schmidt (Ashley), Macayla Milton (Cameron) and Hannah M. Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Brayden Moore and Sawyer Moore; and her sister Irene V. Toscano.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home (141 Central Ave, Norwich, CT 06360). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark Lutheran Church (248 Broadway, Norwich, CT 06360).
