Wilda Anne Rowe Obituary

Wilda Anne Rowe, age 80, died surrounded by her two children on September 22, 2024, after a brief battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Wilda was born on December 21, 1943, to beloved parents Olla Vera Chamberlain and George William Rowe in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her children Christopher and Tiffany Altschul of Los Angeles, California, Courtney and Mark Olsen of Darien, Connecticut, as well as four grandchildren: India, Harrison, Grady and Whitney.

Wilda was active in various communities as a teacher and real estate agent. She loved genealogy, exercising, golfing, dancing and was an avid fan of UCONN women's basketball and Coach Geno Auriemma. She had the most fun watching her grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with friends and family. She was affectionately known as "Gigi" or "Geeg" to close friends and her grandchildren who adored her. Her favorite residence was on Isle of Palms, South Carolina, as she loved living by the ocean. She was adored by many for her integrity, sincerity, humor, and no-nonsense approach to life.

She was an incredible mom, grandmother, daughter, cousin, and friend. She loved deeply and was loved by all. Her infectious laugh and beautiful spirit will be forever missed.
