Thomas Rondello Obituary

Thomas Rondello, 78, husband of Joanne Pinto Rondello for 24 years, died on Dec. 18, 2024 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of Ignacio and Agnes Cody Rondello, he was also predeceased by grandson, James Welsh.

He served the Norwalk community for over 37 years as a Detective in the Norwalk Police Department, and was a member of the Eagles Club- Aerie #588, and past commodore of the Ischoda Yacht Club.

Outside of his career, Thomas was a passionate and skilled shooter, belonging to many associations throughout the state. He was also a man who took great pride in working around the house, pouring dedication into every project, large or small - whether it was fixing something broken or making improvements. Most importantly, Tom was a family man who enjoyed filling his weekends with friends and loved ones.

He is survived by his wife Joanne, and seven children; Caroline Welsh and her husband John, Thomas Rondello Jr. and his wife Josie, Casey Rondello, Jessica Quesnal and her husband Jay, Frank Alcutt and his wife Angela, Michael Alcutt and his wife Jeanine and Steven Alcutt and his wife Christina, as well as loving grandchildren Nicole, John, Tommy, Michael, Riley, Connor and Maren, as well as his sister Barbara Rondello and her children Sharyn and Karen.

His family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 29 from 4pm-8pm at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Graveside services will be held at 11am at St. John's Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave Norwalk.
