Salvatore Vento Obituary
Salvatore Vento, 86, loving husband of Sandra Vento, died on Monday, November 4, 2024 at their home in Norwalk. Born in Minturno, Italy, son of the late Domenico and Catarina (Patrizio) Vento, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Dominic, Mario, Joseph and Patsy Vento and two sisters Antoinetta Morabito and Filomena Bisecco. He retired as a masonry contractor, serving the area for many years.
Nothing brought Salvatore more joy than to be around his family. He loved gardening and you could often find him in his greenhouse tending to his plants.
In addition to his wife Sandra, he is survived by their children, Lisa Vento-Gustafson and Salvatore Vento Jr., and five loving grandchildren Leo Gustafson, Ava Gustafson, Salvatore B. Vento, Vincent Kratter and Danielle Kratter.
His family will receive friends on Wed., Nov 6, from 5-8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, at 10AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
