Patricia A. McLaughlin Obituary

Patricia A. McLaughlin, 84, beloved wife of Walter S. McLaughlin for 65 years, died peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 at her home in Norwalk. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late John and Florence (Griffin) Thomas. She was also predeceased by her brother, Ronald Thomas.

Patricia was a devoted and loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother, who cherished spending time with her family. She had worked at Happy Time Nursery School and Parkway Christian Academy earlier in her career, and more recently worked for MBI for over 30 years.

Throughout the years, Pat enjoyed reading, Caribbean vacations, movies, horses, going to church and volunteering, spending time with her family & friends to create memories--especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who called her Nana. She loved to float in her pool and bask in the sun. She always loved to visit her homeland, Canada, but was proud of her American citizenship and life she and Walt built together in CT.

In addition to her husband Walter, Patricia is survived by their children; Robin Keegan and her husband David Spence, Tracy Gulick and her husband Michael, and Rev. Steve Miller and his wife Lillian, five loving grandchildren Jordan (Brandon) Berg, Taylor (Shane) Sullivan, JT, Riley and Madison Gulick, and five cherished great-grandchildren, Elise and Mona Sullivan, and Behr, Bodie and Bruin Berg, as well as her sister Carol Mason and her husband Samuel, and many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws.

A memorial service will be held on August 23, 2024 at 4pm at Parkway Assembly of God, 260 New Canaan Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
