Owen Joseph Coyne Jr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Owen Joseph Coyne Jr. (Norwalk, Connecticut), born in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 31, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Coyne and Ellen Foley Coyne; his brother Thomas Coyne; and his brothers-in-law, Ted Flynn, Jr., John Flynn (Ann) and John Pote.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine Flynn Coyne; his children, Julie, Kerry (Nate Gilbertson), Ted (Karen Bedrosian), Katie (Marco Restrepo), Kevin, Maggie (Jim Baron) and Chris (Clinton French); his grandchildren, John Owen, Thomas Kelly Coyne, Rhianna, Quinn Gilbertson, Nico, Eli Restrepo, Margaret, Liam Coyne, Logan and Ronan Baron; his sisters, Nancy Crosby (Jim) and Sheila Coyne; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Coyne, Carol Pote, Ellen Elen (Bobby) and Mike Flynn (Lois). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren, and life-long friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene's honor to an organization close to his heart, Education and Hope, founded by his daughter, Julie.
