He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Samodel and Tekla Pyrih Samodel; his wife Marie Hendrinos Samodel; and his siblings, Harry, Terry, John, Mary Franzis, Sophie Samodel and Anne Samodel.
He is survived by: his children, Jean Ferencz (George), Marianne McSally (Thomas), Joann Samodel Stoughton, Theresa Goulet (Lucien) and Theodore (Kathryn); his grandchildren, George Ferencz (John Adams), Bryan Ferencz, Nicole DiLeonardo (Joseph), Matthew McSally, Bradley Samodel, Haley White (Seth), Garrett Samodel and Kylie Goulet; and his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Alisha Ferencz, Jackson and Macie DiLeonardo.
