Muriel Magda Obituary
Muriel Ryan Magda, 87, of Norwalk, died on January 7, 2024 at the Villa at Stamford. Born in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Koba) Ryan, having also been predeceased by her brother John ("Jackie") Ryan.
She spent much of her time working various corporate positions but found most of her professional fulfillment through her tireless work breeding and raising champion Collies and Shelties after founding West Cedar Collies and Shelties in Norwalk. Beyond her work with animals, Muriel was an avid shopper who loved taking trips to Lord & Taylor and could frequently be found enjoying live music from her favorite artist Engelbert Humperdinck.
Muriel is survived by her children, Liz Magda Nichols and Tom Magda Jr., and his wife Sheila, as well as five cherished grandchildren: Alexandra and Olivia Nichols and Tommy III, Sean and Dylan Magda.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. The burial will be held Friday January 12, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
