She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry P. Gerhardt and Esther Smith Gerhardt; and her brother David Gerhardt of Norwalk. She is survived by: her husband William T. "Bill" Gardella; her grandchildren, Leah (Brown), Dan Freshman, Will Gardella, Cailyn Brown, Jennifer (Wilkins), Craig North, Lindsay (Wrinn), Adam Cruickshank, Megan (Wrinn), Andrew Giron, Ryan Gardella, Tyler Brown, Matthew Gardella, Devon (Wrinn), Jon Dupnik and Jake Wilkins; and her great grandchildren, Nathan and William Freshman. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, a brother-In-Law and several nieces and nephews.
