Maria O. Bonaddio Obituary
Maria O. Bonaddio, 84, died on July 20, 2024, at her home in Norwalk. Born in Solano, Italy, the daughter of Giuseppe and Amalia (Castagna) Parisi, she was the wife of the late Antonio Bonaddio. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Grace Ambrogio, Pasquale and Ugo Parisi.
Maria worked at Yankee Metal, Perkin Elmer and most recently for Walgreens where she truly enjoyed welcoming her faithful Norwalk customers. Most recently she was an active volunteer at St. Philip Church; she always found time to spend there, even throughout her illness.
Maria's world revolved around her family. She was the most devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Always ready to attend any event, she never missed a game, performance or celebration. Holidays were the best, when everyone was expected to get together so she could make certain everyone had enough to eat. She loved cooking for her family and was considered the "Best Cook Ever" by those fortunate enough to experience it.
She is survived by her children; Jenina Rentas and her husband Radames of Norwalk, Vincent Bonaddio and his wife Lauri of Garnet Valley, PA, and Joe Bonaddio and his wife Kim of Norwalk, and seven loving grandchildren; Antonio Rentas and his wife Debi, Jennifer Rentas, Anthony Bonaddio, Vincenzo Bonaddio Jr., and his wife Samantha, Michael Bonaddio, Joe Bonaddio Jr., and Cori Bonaddio, three cherished great grandchildren, Alex and Ella Rentas and Vincenzo "Enzo" Bonaddio III; as well as a brother Frank Parisi and numerous loving family members and friends.
Her family would like to acknowledge Dr. Chi, Dr. Aversano, Dr. Augenbraun, Dr. Gervasi and the team at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center for their outstanding care and support.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23 from 4-7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 24 at St. Philip Church, One Fr. Conlon Place, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Philip Church or a charity of one's choice.
