Margaret S Bonenfant Obituary

Margaret S. Bonenfant, age 93, of Norwalk, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 22, 2023 with her loving daughters by her side. Margaret was born in Norwalk on November 2, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Szeles.

Margaret was a 1947 graduate of Norwalk High School and worked at Voltarc Technologies in Fairfield for 47 years until retiring in 1994. She was devoted to her faith and was a past treasurer of the South Norwalk Columbiettes Aux. 1253. Her greatest joy was spending time with her cherished family and friends. She loved to garden, was an avid reader and enjoyed the challenge of jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She was a loyal New York Giants fan through all their ups and downs, cheering them on one last time in their come-from-behind victory last week.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Linda and Donna Bonenfant, both of Norwalk, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and several lifelong friends who were like family. She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Paul, dear sister Irene Breault, niece Marcia Breault BarenBregge and nephews Robert and Raymond Bonenfant.

Margaret's family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM on Friday, September 29th at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue in Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM at St. Ladislaus Church, 25 Cliff Street in Norwalk with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
