Lawrence Whitney Obituary
Lawrence Whitney, 58, of Norwalk, beloved husband of Melissa (Bykowski) Whitney and devoted father to Brandon Whitney, died on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Yale- New Haven. Larry was born in Norwalk, the son of Patricia (Butler) Whitney of North Carolina, and the late Richard Whitney. He was also predeceased by his sister Lisa Chambers and grandparents Rose and Edward Dawson.
In addition to his mother, wife and son, he is also survived by his sister Stacey Whitney, brother-in-law Frank Chambers and seven loving nieces and nephews; Julia Santiago, Megan Chambers, Leo Chambers, Eddie Chambers, Emery Easton, Lennox Easton and Presley Speight.
Larry worked for Interstate Lumber for many years, also working in the bowling industry, and was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed bowling, softball and NASCAR. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, October 26, from 1-3 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.
