Joan C. Leskovsky Obituary
Joan C. Leskovsky, beloved wife for 54 years of John J. Leskovsky, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 12, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1947 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Frank and Longina (Gizinski) Jedrychowski.
Joan was a Norwalk resident for over 54 years. She graduated from Saint Joseph College in West Hartford with a degree in Nursing in 1967. She then worked at Norwalk Hospital for over 42 years until her retirement in 2012 as a senior case manager. Joan was a member of the Norwalk Stamp Club, volunteer at the annual Norwalk Oyster Festival, and previously had been a teacher at St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church for Sunday School classes.
In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by her son Roger Leskovsky (Tracy), her brother Frank Jedrychowski (Elaine), and her sister Judy Backiel (Jack). She also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Riley and Hailey, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Jimmy Leskovsky.
Her family will receive friends on Friday January 17, 2025 from 5-7 pm at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk, CT. Interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Joan's memory to Regional Hospice in Danbury, CT or STAR, Inc in Norwalk, CT.
