Jean R. Thevenot Obituary
Jean R. Thevenot, 55, of Jamacia, NY died on February 23, 2025, at Norwalk Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 7, 2025, at 9:30 am at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk, CT with burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
Jean was born May 11, 1969, in Haiti, to Serge and Laura (Brown) Thevenot. Jean was known as "Regi" by family and close friends. He attended Holy Name of Jesus elementary school and attended Rice High School in New York City. Since high school, he held various positions from tollbooth operator to car mechanic. However, he enjoyed a 20-year career as a peace officer at King County Psychiatric Hospital. In his position as peace officer, Jean Trained new officers and often held safety classes for fellow coworkers.
Jean was known as the cool uncle for his laid-back demeanor and his adventurous spirit. Jean loved motorcycles, traveling and boating. He liked tinkering with cars, and he was our go-to person for advice on anything car related. Jean was always ready to partake in family gatherings and was always joking with everyone.
Jean is survived by his daughter Gabriella Thevenot, his two sisters Marie and Marie-Lucienne Thevenot, his two brothers Louis (Janet) and Joseph Thevenot, his nieces Mia and Jade Vasquez and nephews Jhordan Vasquez and Taleek Turner as well as great nieces and great nephews. He was well loved and will be missed dearly.
