Immacolata Iacono Obituary
Immacolata Iacono, 89 of Norwalk, died on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Barano D'Ischia, Italy, the daughter of the late Francesco and Anna Stella DiMeglio, she was the wife of the late Michael Iacono. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Francine Menillo, daughter-in-law Linda Iacono, her three sisters Maria DiMeglio, Angelina DiMeglio, and Dina Iacono. As well as her brothers-in-law Pasquale Mancusi, Giovanni Lombardi and Joseph Iacono. She enjoyed a good meal and time with family and friends. Never known to make a bad meatball, her children and grandchildren overlooked the baked-on foil that inevitably got stuck to them and devoured every single one at every family get together. Nothing brought her greater joy than an empty tray and the request for more. Her absence from our lives will create an immeasurable void.
She is survived by her children; Sam Iacono and his companion Edy, Marcella Iacono, Anna Conte and her husband Luigi, Antonia LaBonte and her husband Norman, Bruno Iacono and his wife Lucy, Maria DiCarlo and her husband Peter and Valerie Iacono, 18 beloved grandchildren and 15 cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law John Iacono and his wife Giovanna as well as her two sisters-in-law Franca Mancusi and Lucia Lombardi and many other loving relatives.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb 2 from 9-10:30 at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11AM at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 203 East Ave, Norwalk. Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery.
