Genise A Griffin Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genise A Griffin (Norwalk, Connecticut), born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Genise departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Genise. Though Genise may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her mother Gloria F. Morgan-Griffin. She is survived by: her father George M. Griffin; her children, Morgan T. and Michelle R. Griffin; her granddaughter Asa I. Emlicar; her siblings, Donald Morgan (Roselynne) of Atlanta, GA and Laurie Morgan-James of Riverview, FL; her niece Christa R. James; her nephews, Brian of Norwalk, CT and Christian James of Norwalk, CT; her close friend Ernestine Crawford of Charlotte, NC; and her aunt Geneva Morgan of Detroit, MI. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and special friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Church (96 S Main St, Norwalk, CT 06854). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
