Claudia Petrini Obituary
Claudia "Gloria" Petrini, cherished spouse of the late Geno Petrini for more than 60 years, peacefully departed this life on February 12, 2025, at the age of 95. Born in Branchville, Connecticut on April 9, 1929 to the late John and Maria (DiMarco) Concordia, Gloria and Geno enjoyed a joyful and tranquil existence in Redding, CT.
Gloria was the type of friend whom anyone would be lucky to have. She possessed a profound enthusiasm for gardening and needlepoint, as well as valuing the time she spent with her family immensely. Her lasagna and meatballs were unparalleled, and she arranged her charcuterie boards with the elegance of a Michelin-star chef.
Following her high school graduation, she joined Schlumberger—a consulting firm in oil exploration—where she ultimately served as executive secretary to the president for over 45 years until her retirement. Gloria is survived by her nephews Fred Concordia and Michael Concordia along with his wife Martine and their son Paul Concordia; she also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews from her late husband Geno's side. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Joseph Concordia and Antoinette Concordia.
A memorial service honoring her memory will be scheduled for a later date.
