Murphy (Johnson) of Short Hills, NJ, Kathryn Harrison Whittemore of Malibu, CA and Lisa Carter Whittemore of Encinitas, CA; and his sister Nancy Jokerst of Walnut Creek, CA.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
