Brian M. Morrell Obituary

Brian Michael Morrell, 32, passed away at home on December 22, 2024. Born in Norwalk, CT, he was the beloved son of Daniel Morrell Sr. and Elizabeth Potrykus Morrell. He is survived by his brother D.J. and sister Tracey Morrell.

As a child, Brian loved getting into shenanigans with his siblings and cousins, creating memories that bring belly laughs and warm smiles. His sense of humor and magnetic personality could light up any room, leaving behind a legacy of joy and laughter. Brian had a loyal group of friends who stood by him through thick and thin. Their love and support meant the world to him and brought so much light into his life.

As a heart transplant recipient, Brian enjoyed nearly 17 more years of life, and he rallied on another 12 years after becoming a quadriplegic. The Morrell family has much gratitude for all of the medical staff that helped him throughout his life and made him feel like family along the way. Calling him a true fighter is a vast understatement and we are so thankful for the extra years we all had with him.

Brian will receive friends and family on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 9:00 am until 12 noon at the Magner Funeral Home on 12 Mott Avenue in Norwalk, CT. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Tracey Morrell.
