Barbara Capuano Obituary

Barbara Gribosky Capuano, 94, died on June 26, 2024 at her home in Norwalk. Born in NY, daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Kovacs) Gribosky, she was the wife of the late John J. Capuano, and predeceased by her eight siblings.

She retired from Deluxe Check Printers and was an active volunteer for the Red Cross bloodmobile, member of Wilton AARP, served as program director for AARP Chapter #2011, past president of South Norwalk Columbiettes-Council #1253 and also a member of Msgr. Finn Council# 76. Barbara served as Eucharistic Minister at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle for over 20 years and a member of St. Mary's Golden Age group. In her free time, she loved reading and enjoyed casino trips.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Faust and her husband Donald, and a son Joseph Capuano, all of Norwalk, three grandchildren, Bonnie L. Pils and her husband Gary, Lori A. Faust and Brian J. Faust, as well as two cherished great-grandchildren, Tyler J. Pils and Ava Anne Pils.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 5, at 11AM at St. Thomas Church, 203 East Ave, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 AM. It was Barbara's request that EVERYONE WEAR BRIGHT COLORS.
