Barbara O'Hara Bussiere Obituary
Barbara O'Hara Bussiere, beloved wife of Dennis Bussiere, passed away on Tuesday January 14, 2025. She was born in Norwalk on March 27, 1940 to the late John and Antoinette (Zamberelli) Russo. She was predeceased by her brothers, Anthony, Joseph and Ralph, sister Grace and first husband John O'Hara.
Barbara lived a life of growth. After graduating from Norwalk High School in 1958 she fulfilled the first ambition, which was to become a licensed Beautician and followed this early career path. Shortly thereafter, Barbara realized that a marriage and raising a family might be a better course in life and jumped right in, creating a family that she would enjoy until the end of her life. In midlife, Barbara went back to work, employed by the Pepperidge Farm Co., and Petro Fuel. While working full time, she attended Norwalk Community College and earned a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies, graduating in 2011.
Throughout her life, and in her Italian tradition, Barbara loved to cook. For her, every holiday was an opportunity to showcase her love of life and family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her Four sons Keith (Nancy), Kenneth (Allyson), Kieran (Daryl) and Ben. As well as eight grandchildren, Ellen (James), Keith Jr., Christopher, Heather, Gabrielle, Michael, Kathryn, Margaret O'Hara and two great grandchildren Madison and Jackson Palmer.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 21, 2025 from 10-11 am with a service beginning at 11:00 at Magner Funeral Home 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk, CT. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave. Norwalk, CT.
