Barbara Jean Barry Obituary

Barbara Jean Barry, wife of the late Thomas E. Barry Sr., passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 22, 2024, in Cocoa Beach, FL at the age of 85. She was born on September 11, 1938, in New Milford, PA to the late Carl and Lula (Palmer) VonGlatzel.

She worked for many years as a realtor and although she moved to Florida her heart was and will always be in Connecticut. She was a loving sister, mother and friend and will be dearly missed.

Barbara is survived by her three children: Thomas E. Barry Jr., Robin Smith and Scott C. Barry and his wife Gabrielle Buonagurio Barry. She also leaves behind two grandchildren: Kimo Smith and Melissa Smith (Sean Sapp) as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Ann Barry and her two brothers Carl Glatzel and his wife Judith and Richard VonGlatzel and his wife Mary.

A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2024, 11:00am at St. Johns Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave. Norwalk, CT.
