Anthony Tomasz Awlasewicz Obituary
Anthony T. Awlasewicz, 82, beloved husband of Barbara (Leszczynski) Awlasewicz for 59 years, died on Monday, August 5, 2024 at their home in Norwalk. Born in Pruzana, Poland, and grew up in Góra and Śląska. Son of the late Norbert and Nettie (Czepielewskicz) Awlasewicz, he was also predeceased by two brothers Richard Z. and B. Norbert Awlasewicz.
He served in the US Army and worked as a civil engineer in Westchester, NY.
In addition to his loving wife, Barbara, he is survived by their children Richard Anthony Awlasewicz, Basia (Frank) Dellaripa and Elizabeth (Chip) DiCicco. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ashley Awlasewicz, Alysia (Kolton) Vickers, Anthony (Aly Fazzolari) Awlasewicz, Andrea (Brad) Nunez, Jason DiCicco, Kasey DiCicco, and Dylan DiCicco. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Ania Awlasewicz, Curtis Stahl, Charlie Stahl and Jackson Vickers.
He had amazingly warm, caring nurses, Michelle Perry and Manette Bedouet, by his side for the final moments of his life.
His family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug 7, from 5-7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial ewill be held at 10AM on Thursday, at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Entombment with full military honors will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave, Norwalk.
