He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alan Burr, Sr. and Eleanor Libby Burr; his significant other Gail Dunlap Burr; his sons, Alan (Ivy), Russell (Maria) and Daniel (Christina); his grandchildren, Alan IV, Carter, Shauna, Emily, Ethan, Hunter and Austin; and also, Eleanor "Sissie" Muha, Jamie DiScala, Chris Burr, Don Burr, Elizabeth "Bette" Wiehe and John Burr, Sr..

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home (92 East Ave, Norwalk, CT 06851). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church (2 Emerson St, Norwalk, CT 06855).

In lieu of flowers, his family invites contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Alzheimer's Association.
