It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Acker of Northfield, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isadore Mackiewicz and Sophie Mackiewicz (Siemiatkoski); her siblings, Leon Mackiewicz and Jean Mackiewicz; and her nephew Leonard Mackiewicz.
She is survived by: her husband Douglas Acker Sr.; her son Douglas Jr. (Linda); her sister Joyce Jones of Terryville; and her nieces and nephews, Felicia Zack of Bristol, Leona "Sissy" Jones of Terryville, David Jones of Terryville, Alex Mackiewicz and Mya King.
