He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Jr. McGowan and Rosa McGowan (Mast). He is survived by: his wife Debra McGowan (Umphlett); his children, Thomas D. McGowan (Amy) and Karrie R. Schwaab (Ryan Schwaab) of North Stonington, CT; his grandchildren, Bailey McGowan, John Schwaab and Wyatt Schwaab; and his brothers, Dennis McGowan (Heidi McGowan) and Donald McGowan (Monica McGowan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
