He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Tennant (Gilmore) and Herbert Tennant; and his brothers, Franklin Tennant and Herbert Tennant, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Tennant (Teague); his children, Ann M. Johnston (Carl) and Donald B. Tennant, Jr. (Jody); his grandchildren, Tim, Justin (Tanya), Carl Jr. and Alexandra; his son Brendan; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Leger, Ava, Sadie, Francesa and Callum Osborne.
