She was predeceased by: her parents, John Fain and Clorinda Fain; her husband John Zappe; her brother Robert Fain; and her niece Eddie Fain.
She is survived by: her nephews, Ken Barber Jr. and Bob Barber; her great-nephew Jake Barber; her nieces and nephews, Anna Barber, Scott, John Fain, Carla Fain and Julie Fain Leonard; and also Henry Fain (Anna Fain).
She had many furry friends through the years and donations honoring her, can be given at the CT Humane Society.
