He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles C. Griffin Sr. and Ethel Griffin (Fleming). He is survived by: his wife Linda Griffin (Dickerson); his daughters, Gretchen Salvatore (Michael) of Colchester and Holly Griffin of North Stonington; his siblings, James Griffin and Bernice Gregory; his grandchildren, Charles Salvatore (Krista), Alexander Salvatore (Jordan) and Laura Salvatore; his great grandchildren, Rorik and Augustus Salvatore; and his nieces, Cindy and Peggy Sue.
