He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sally Weil Katz; his parents, Israel G. Katz and Laura "Libby" Gurvich Katz; his children, Susan Swirsky (David) and Michael Katz (Helene Victoria); his grandchildren, Nicole, Adam, Meghan, Alanna and Deanna; and his brothers, Ronald, Daniel and Michael Katz.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, American Heart, American Cancer or the American Diabetes Associations.
