It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mattie M. Mazyck of North Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Mattie M. may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mattie M. touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses McKnight and Elease McKnight; her children, Andre McKnight and Gwendolyn Mazyck; and her siblings, Willie Arthur Woods, Ernest McKnight, Laurie Mae McBride, Roxie Mae Murray, Lethonia Lee and Berthena McKnight.
She is survived by: her son Eldridge Mazyck. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Curvin K. Council Funeral Home (128 Dwight St, New Haven, CT 06511). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
