He is survived by: his children, Liam, Aiden and Bria McKiernan of North Haven; and his siblings, Lana Claire Ives, Lucille Laydon (William Laydon, Jr.) of North Haven and Lance Komoroski of Hamden. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, extended family, and many K-9 companions.
