He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Tomlinson Sr. and Marion Thompson Tomlinson; and his son Christopher. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Keith and Sandra; and his sister Helen Tomlinson. He is also survived by three granddaughters.
