He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo J. Redmond Sr. and Hazel Redmond (Damren); his daughter Rebecca Redmond Olmstead; and his siblings-in-law, Herbert Luce and Margaret Redmond.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Shanley Redmond; his sons, Leo W. Redmond (Doreen) of Deep River, Lawrence J. Redmond (Karen) of Deep River, Peter J. Yacono (Elizabeth) of Northford and James G. Yacono of North Haven; his grandchildren, Emma Yacono, Mia Yacono of Northford, Cori Camire of Deep River, David Mishiwiec of Pocatello, ID, Sarah Olmstead of Sutter Creek, CA, Jack Olmstead and Steven Olmstead; and his siblings, Timothy Redmond (Robin) of Chambersburg, PA, Eric Redmond of New Smyrna, FL and Claire Luce of Skowhegan, ME.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Keenan Funeral Home (330 Notch Hill Rd, North Branford, CT 06471). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Pompeii Church (355 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06512). The military honors will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the State Veterans Cemetery (317 Bow Ln, Middletown, CT 06457).
