He was predeceased by: his parents, John Freitag and Cecelia TenEyke Freitag. He is survived by: his wife Marie Iovino Freitag; his sons, John Paul Freitag and Steven Ralph Freitag (Emily); his granddaughters, Olivia, Kaitlyn and Natalie Freitag; his sisters, Virginia Johnson (late Charles), Cecelia Gianelli (Joseph) and Mary Hannon (Richard); and his siblings-in-law, Lisa Kleinberg (Barry), Cindy Piccerillo (Jon) and Michael Iovino (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
