He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Middagh and Barbara White Middagh; and his siblings, Cheryl Quinn and Douglas Middagh. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Guerrera Middagh; his children, Lisa Middagh (John Norton), Gary Middagh, Jr., Stephen Middagh (Joyce), Matthew Middagh (Angela Titone) and Taylor Middagh (Andrian Oronoz); his grandchildren, Eleonora, Mariana, Rafael, Melina, Charles, Jr. (CJ), Christopher and Lilliana; his siblings, Lori Harris (Richard) and Clifford Middagh Joyce Hodio (Susan); and his mother-in-law Elaine Guerrera.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the North Haven Funeral Home (36 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“Cheryl, I am so saddened to hear of Gary's passing. It's been years since we've seen or spoke to each other, and yet, if I close my eyes, I can see his smile and the twinkle in his eyes. We had some great times when we were much younger, and he and Tony were thick as thieves! LOL I'll never forget the many, many hours of playing cards, set back. Time moves along, but the memories, if we allow them, will live on forever in our hearts. My sincere condolence to you and your family, Charlotte”
