He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Walter and Lena Hoffman Walter; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Malerba. He is survived by: his wife Gertrude DeGross Walter; his child Lynn Thompson (Peter); his grandsons, Andrew Thompson (Lauren) and William Thompson (Sarah); his sister Barbara Welker Griggs (Thomas Griggs, Sr.); and his brother-in-law James Malerba. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
