With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Erminia Pettella of North Haven, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Erminia left this world on October 26, 2024 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Salvatore Pettella; her parents, Frank Ruggiero and Josephine D'Addio Ruggiero; her sister Dolores "Dee" Torello; and her nephew John Calamita.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Christie, Jr. (William); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Erin and Claire Christie; her siblings, Marilyn Gillo, Carmine "Sonny" Ruggiero, Michael "Mickey" Ruggiero (Phyllis), Rose DeLucia, Gloria Barbiero (Paul), Louis Ruggiero (Catherine), MaryLou Calamita (John) and Karen McKiernan (John); and her brother-in-law Nicholas Torello. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the North Haven Funeral Home (36 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Therese Church (555 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06401).
