He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Morrell and Edna Cronoque Morrell; his daughter Julie Morrell Keefover; and his siblings, Edna Heery, Ethel Heath, Shirley Klemenz, Rita McBride, Joseph, John, Walter, Irving and George Morrell.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Morrissey Morrell; his children, Elizabeth Morrell Hoffman (Jerry) of North Haven, Edward J. Morrell, Jr. (Valerie) of Guilford and Timothy Morrell of North Haven; his grandchildren, Brian Morrell, Hailey Morrell, Timothy Morrell, Jr., Kristen Hoffman Mellaci (Joseph), Justin Hoffman and Jesse Hoffman (Stephanie); and his great grandchild Lucy Joyce Mellaci.
