He is survived by: his wife Joan Axtell (Worrell); his children, Phillip Axtell (Amber) of Thompson, CT, George Axtell (Tracy) of Webster, MA, Lena Fredericks (Gary) of Dayville, CT and Annie Ciukaj (Toby) of North Grosvenordale, CT; his siblings, Jerry, Jim and Rita; his grandchildren, George, Ryan, Evan, Dylan, Mathew, Sybella, Amya, Jase, Ophelia, Margaret, Louis, Bennett, Liliana and Henry; and his pet Charlie.
