He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Fitzgerald Potter; and his parents, Herbert II and Jean Potter II (Troske). He is survived by: his children, Barrie Potter (Joann), Laurie Smith (James Douglas) and Daniel Potter; and his grandchildren, Lucas Potter, Emmy Lou Potter, Patrick Potter and Abigail Smith.
