He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas O'Connell and Rhea O'Connell; his sons, Fredrick W. O'Connell Jr. and Russell O'Connell; and his siblings, Ray Rock, William "Tootie" Hyde, Harold "Woody" Hyde, Roy Hyde, Peter Hyde, Lorraine Golden, Linda House and Donna Norman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sister Margie Caldon (Bob); and his daughters, Chris-ann Pizzale (Edward) and Debra Reichle. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
